About Matthew Hilliard
Professionally: I’ve been a physician assistant since 2005 and have worked in cardiology, ortho, primary care, and the Emergency department. I have left full-time clinical practice to pursue my passion for teaching as an Assistant Professor at Concord University\'s PA program. I have over two decades of teaching experience and have been a clinical preceptor for several colleges for over fifteen years. I also started a paramedic program as an instructor and clinical coordinator. Personal Life: My wife Pam is a WV native. We met on my first day living in WV at the ambulance company where we both worked. We dated for 8 months and have been married for 30 years. I have 2 adult daughters. Both played soccer throughout their lives, and I had the privilege of coaching them. I eventually became the guy with a camera and combined my love of soccer and my passion for photography while photographing my daughters as they grew. Now, I am enjoying my time outside of work by traveling, camping, and spending time on the lake with my wife and our two Boston Terrors (not a typo). My youngest daughter comes home from college to spend time, and my oldest daughter and son-in-law love to travel with us. I also have two granddogs, Ollie and Freia.
