ABOUT MATTHEW HARDING

Fifteen years experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment for a respected global CDMO, my current role assumes responsibility for a workforce of 95+ staff in a fast paced manufacturing and packaging environment, including solid and semi-solid, oral and topical dosage forms. Being part of a fast-growing CDMO, responsibilities also include the sourcing and acquisition of new equipment and technologies along with their integration and qualification. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement throughout all operations to prepare the organisation for the future. Currently studying towards a BSc (Hons) degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry), third year.Qualified Pharmaceutical Lead Auditor.Extensive onsite training in Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) in a pharmaceutical environment.Fully trained internal auditor with experience of inspecting manufacturing and packaging areas, clinical trials primary and secondary packaging areas, laboratories and engineering.Quality Improvements• Designed and delivered GMP and GDP training modules in relation to commercial manufacturing and packaging processes for new and existing employees. These were designed specifically to address the needs of the employees to ensure an engaging learning experience.• Aided the implementation of a daily ‘Gemba’ walk around production areas which resulted in a significant improvement in the ‘Right First Time’ performance of the operational departments.Process Improvements• Assisted in compiling a Value Stream Map (VSM) for a product from raw material receipt to product delivery for a top 3 customer. The full process was reviewed using the DMAIC methodology and resulted in a significant improvement to the per batch cycle time.• Re-organised the batch approval process allowing for a significant improvement to the on time delivery of commercial products of > 98%
