As the Head of Asset Management, I am responsible for managing the network’s capital and replacement expenditure, totalling approximately £800 million over a 5-year regulatory cycle. My primary focus is ensuring that investments align with regulatory requirements and strategic priorities, delivering a safe, reliable, and efficient network.Key responsibilities include: • Overseeing the planning, allocation, and management of network capital and replacement expenditure to ensure optimal delivery within budget. • Holding key business departments accountable for achieving their delivery targets while adhering to financial and operational objectives. • Leading the reforecasting and reporting processes, providing clear, data-driven insights into the network’s progress, risks, and opportunities. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory frameworks, and long-term business goals. • Driving continuous improvement in asset investment strategies through robust data analysis and innovative problem-solving.This role is at the core of ensuring the efficient use of resources to build a resilient and safe network, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
