   Serve as an executive leader responsible for developing and implementing a $6M budget. Lead the Security Department, including Deputy Director, Security Technicians, and contracted Security Officers. Designing and the organization’s Comprehensive Security Plan, including; physical and electronic security systems, loss prevention and asset protection, and employee safety. • Created and managed an annual budget of over $6 million to sustain current security requirements and project the future needs of the organization. • Responsible for developing and implementing all policies and procedures spanning visitor management, possession of weapons, vehicle accidents on property, video release, and audits for access control for restricted areas.• Oversee the organization\'s video surveillance, access control, and visitor management operations, including; 3K cameras, 2K Card readers, and over 10K visitors, annually, to the corporate headquarters.• Established the security portion of the organization’s on-boarding training for all new employees, contractors, and interns.• Facilitate employee training concerning active shooter, situational awareness, workplace violence, personal safety, emergency management, and natural disaster preparedness. • Led executive level negotiations to secure 2 physical security contracts exceeding $4.5M annually, providing 24/7 asset protection.• Provide strategic direction and guidance when collaborating with the Executive team, Compliance Department, and General Counsel to facilitate complex problem-solving and decision-making.• Integral team member working to achieve the organization’s HITRUST Certification. Providing the 15% physical security and compliance component needed to integrate with cyber security and achieve HITRUST certification.• Collaborated in various construction projects, providing security input concerning design, threat vulnerability, and CPTED principles.
