About Matthew Gallegos
I am a physical therapist. I advocate, embolden, inspire, empathize with, and educate the people entrusted to my care. It has been through PT and the values engrained through my graduate program at the University of Mary that I continue to find greater purpose of servant leadership and my role in the greater human pursuit of movement, and therefore life autonomy. I have had numerous leadership opportunities, including class president of both my undergraduate and graduate programs, group and project roles within the University of Mary community, and daily occasions of advocacy which I hold myself to a higher expectation to serve when provided the invitation. I full heartedly believe my mission here is to serve selflessly and with gratitude. Along with the skills obtained through my ATC credential, I have PT clinical experience in neuro, geriatric, orthopedic/post-operative, pain neuroscience education, and acute settings. I am currently eager to undertake opportunities available in the Virginia/DC area, with no preference to setting. I am also seeking to become active within the APTA, spreading its values and advocacy for the future of physical therapy.
