My role as Project Test Manager was to help Hiscox shape the test delivery framework for our portfolio of projects within the UK IT group, ensuring the most appropriate test approaches, tools and techniques are being implemented in line with the business process and the technology in scope. Main duties, and highlights include:• Creating, Implementing and maintaining a test delivery framework by ensuring we have clearly defined documentation, templates and process guidelines that align to the overall Change Delivery Framework that all delivery streams can use and align to. • Worked with numerous project managers to agree on test resourcing needs, identified and aligned the required skills to the various deliveries.• Oversaw all test activities on all active project deliveries ensuring the teams are following the correct approach.• Identified a clear route to live and the transition into BAU maintenance following project shut down. • Was point of escalation for any project test delivery issues• Manage the test delivery for projects or small change where appropriate.• Worked with project teams and squads to agree the model for transitioning projects into agile squads.• Mentored and worked on the development of permanent Hiscox Test team members and coached and prepared them for ISTQB qualifications (which they passed!). • Contributed to wider test chapter meetings, drove the strategy and worked with the UK team to drive its success and actively worked on specific wider team initiatives across the group.
