About Matthew Eickman
I’m the CEO and co-owner of Abra Kadabra Pest + Wildlife Control, a Minnesota-based, family-owned company I’m proud to build alongside my brothers and my wife, Monica. Since acquiring the business in 2017, we’ve grown from a small local operation into one of the fastest-growing pest and wildlife companies in the region, serving thousands of clients with a 30+ person team and a fleet of 20+ service vehicles.Our growth has been rooted in a simple philosophy: take care of people, build strong systems, and play the long game. As a family business, we think in generations, not quarters. That shows up in how we treat our team, how we serve customers, and how we invest back into the company.We’ve expanded beyond traditional pest control into attic remediation, insulation restoration, and specialized exclusion work, while also investing in custom metal fabrication and eco-conscious solutions. I hold multiple NWCOA certifications and serve as a certified instructor, contributing to higher standards and ongoing education in our industry.I’m also a commercial property owner, which gives me perspective from both the client and service sides of the table. That dual viewpoint shapes how we design our services and partnerships, especially for property managers and commercial clients who need reliability, speed, and clear communication.Outside of Abra Kadabra, I host the Homegrown Hustle Podcast, where I have practical conversations with business owners and university leaders about entrepreneurship, leadership, and continuous learning.At the end of the day, our mission is straightforward: solve problems, protect people and property, and build a business our family and team can be proud of for decades to come.
