WORK HISTORY
Scientist Ii- Discovery Research @Novo Nordisk
Lexington, MA, US
As part of Nucleic Acid Research (NAR) at Novo Nordisk, I am responsible for the design and synthesis of new materials for use in lipid nanoparticles with nucleic acid cargoes. These materials are geared towards innovative outcomes and solving long-standing challenges in drug delivery. In addition to designing and making materials, I am responsible for the analysis of non-viral delivery formulations for the purposes of component quantitation and the study of formulation properties, as well as the synthesis and characterization of lipid nanoparticle conjugates for targeted drug delivery. My role involves many aspects of a new material\'s evaluation, from conceptualization of the molecule, to synthesis, to analysis of the resulting formulated form in both an analytical sense and in the design of the next generation of materials.

ABOUT MATTHEW EASTWOOD
Scientist II at Novo Nordisk | Expert Synthetic & Medicinal ChemistAs Scientist II at Novo Nordisk, I design new target molecules with applications in non-viral drug delivery modalities, and then leverage my expertise in synthetic chemistry to access the targets for testing. I work on scales ranging from milligram to multi-gram, and I develop new chemistry to access challenging targets.I collaborate with cross-functional teams encompassing various disciplines involved in drug discovery and development. Additionally, I have experience in maintaining and operating NMR and UPLC instruments. My mission is to contribute to the discovery and development of innovative therapies.
