ChristchurchNZ is the Economic Development Agency for the Christchurch region, focusing on stimulating the economy of Christchurch, using the values of Together, Open and Purposeful.As the Investment and Business Attraction specialist, my role includes developing strategic directives and market intervention plans to stimulate the Christchurch investment and business eco-system, by building propositions for the Christchurch region and promoting them to the various stakeholders within the investment and business community.In parallel, it also includes building relationships and alignments across a number of connection points in the founder/start-up and early-stage investor eco-system to foster growth and deliver high impact economic benefit to Christchurch.Working with internal and external stakeholders to qualify and quantify potential opportunities and to connect them to validated counter-parts within the eco-system, to expedite further growth and economic benefit for the region.Communicating with multiple stakeholders with differing drivers, strategic pathway setting, developing operational workflow plans, reporting to external stakeholders, monitoring and reporting on outcomes and economic impacts, and representing Christchurch as an attractive Investment and Business proposition to the international community.Part of this role includes being a Director on the Mainland Angel Investors Board. Working alongside a passionate team to stimulate the regions business and investment eco-system.
