Accountable for leading the successful delivery of ETCS (European Train Control System) implementation across the On Track Machines (OTM) portfolio, with a focus on programme planning, technical assurance, stakeholder engagement, and business transition.Business Change Delivery• Provide leadership to engineering teams to ensure alignment with ETCS programme objectives and requirements.• Support the Senior Business Change Manager in embedding ETCS system requirements across change initiatives.• Oversee delivery progress, ensuring milestones are achieved and risks proactively managed across workstreams.• Maintain technical integrity across delivery, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and system baselines.• Contribute to regulatory and safety compliance (CSM, CDM), including input to Safety Plans and assurance activities.• Lead transition planning to embed ETCS into business as usual operations with sustained engineering support.Fleet Fitment Programme• Lead delivery of the OTM ETCS fleet fitment programme, ensuring alignment with contractual, technical, and schedule requirements.• Own and manage the fitment P6 schedule, coordinating with suppliers to maintain alignment with programme milestones.• Direct UK wide OTM survey activities supporting First in Class (FiC) deployment.• Manage and support supplier performance, design assurance, and system integration for safe, compliant implementation.• Establish robust governance, reporting structures, and stakeholder engagement across Network Rail, OEMs, regulatory bodies, and suppliers.• Support capability development to ensure a trained and competent maintenance workforce for longterm ETCS support.
