About Matthew Dailey
Originally from Toronto Canada, Matthew Dailey is a New York City based director, producer and writer specializing in immersive variety theater and theatrical events. Currently Matthew is the Director of Programming for multiple venues in the Seaport District operated by Creative Culinary Management as well as The Tin Building by Jean Georges. Previously Matthew was the Executive Creative Director and Producer of the Brooklyn based arts collective House Of Yes. In partnership with House Of Yes, Matthew created “The Devouring” an immersive dinner show at Paradise Club (in Ian Schrager’s Edition Hotel in Times Square) which was described by the New York Times as “somewhere between Cirque du Soleil and a Super Bowl halftime show, reimagined by Twyla Tharp”. From 2013 to 2019 Matthew was the Associate Director and Producer at the iconic nightclub-cabaret The Box’s New York and London venues where he mounted a brand new, original show each week of the year. Other notable achievements include directing, producing and choreographing shows for The Ned Nomad (hailed as “Not to miss” by Vogue), Victoria’s Secret, San Pellegrino, Refinery 29, Barneys New York, Broadway Cares, Joe’s Pub and Amanda Lepore. Matthew’s second immersive theatrical project created for Virgin Voyages debuted overseas in 2023. From 2008 through 2012, Matthew was the in-house production manager and choreographer for the independent record label Peace Bisquit Music where he specialized in artist management and negotiations, brand management, and social media marketing. In another lifetime when he was a professional dancer, Matthew was a company member of Dusan Tynek Dance Theater (declared “One of the top 5 NYC dance highlights of the year” by the New York Times), Rindfliesch, and the Daisy Spurs.
