The QC Analytical Scientist is responsible for the testing of gene therapy products and associated materials used for manufacturing to EU and FDA GMP requirements. • Testing in process, drug product and stability AAV Gene therapy samples for purity, identity and compendial methods. • Maintaining Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) during testing and ensuring good documentation practice (GDP) throughout. • Maintaining stocks of laboratory reagents and consumables to maintain testing timelines. • Facilitating external engineer visits for instrument servicing and calibrations. • Ensuring continued Quality, by raising quality events and action items • Completing all quality actions and documentation within the short timeframes • Assessment and on-boarding of new materials through the material assessment process • Trained to use environmental and building monitoring system (EMS/BMS) to maintain the lab environment and key equipment monitoring such as fridge / freezer and incubator conditions.
