I am the first in house finance hire and lead the finance function, I report directly to the CEO and to the board.I directly line manage a team of one finance associate who helps me run the finance function.I successfully claimed £230k in R&D tax credits, and helped commercialise our first product with operating lease agreements. Please see attached the statutory accounts I authored.I am building the finance function including- transactional finance process and controls- built a system that enables gated approval of spend vs budget, used by operational managers- built an integrated management information reporting process and board reporting process- I provide budgets and forecasts to enable stakeholders to manage the business direction- I model cashflow runways to inform strategic decisions taken by the board- I built process\' for filing uk corporation tax, VAT returns and payroll tax returns- I built the R&D Tax credit filing process, that successfully claimed £230k for the business under the RDEC scheme- I built the filing process for statutory accounts under FRS102, including production of the strategic report- I am the responsible person for UK R&D tax credits including submitting the AIF forms and working with the senior scientists to understand the product and technology- I manage the process for providing financial data for UK innovate grants claims, to ensure quarterly grant cash is received- I am working with the CEO to develop and implement a commercialisation strategy for the novel technology- I am working with the CEO and business development lead, to provide company valuations, competitor analysis and financials for potential investors as part of due diligence and data room processes.
