ABOUT MATTHEW CAFIERO
Hi, I\'m Matt, and I am a Technical Support Engineer working at Bond Sports, a software start-up focused on providing a vertical SaaS based CRM product to sports facilities across the US. I joined the company in the summer of 2023, after graduating from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science in May. My work at Bond Sports aligns with my previous employment experience, as I am working to deliver our high-quality CRM product to our numerous strategic partners within the sports facility space, providing a software solution which manages data and transactions over customers. In this position, much of my work focuses on QA engineering as I work to comprehensively test our product, and on technical support engineering as I work to maintain and update the data for all said customers. In this role, I am learning how to ensure a software product is built without bugs and how to maintain data integrity within a complicated database structure, both of which will be valuable skills towards a future career in software development. I also spend time in this position building internal tools, allowing our teams to interact with the database independently, thereby increasing the efficiency of their workflows. In terms of long-term career goals, I am looking to get into software development. Building and development are truly my passion, and that is the sort of work that really excites me. It is work that is fulfilling and fascinating to me, and in a world where software is essential to nearly every industry, it is work that is consequential. I feel my experience garnered in the last 3 years of my work and in my education have all been steps towards achieving such a goal, as with each subsequent step I take I foster more skills that will inevitably aid me in a future career as a developer.
