Experience
Visitor Services Supervisor
Jun 2008 — Present
Create & share vibrant and awe inspiring stories and experiences that foster emotional and intellectual connections between park visitors and the special places that they visit. For example sharing the storied history of Revere Beach for WBZ’s it happens here program, facilitating regular birding tours, nature mindfulness experiences and workshops on nature inspired design aka biomimicry. Facilitate workshops that engage volunteers and staff in the co-creation and implementation of new ideas for the protection of threatened wildlife and their habitats. For example in an effort to reduce the amount of plastic on Revere Beach and in the ocean where it harms wildlife, we orchestrated a litter sculpture parade, a first in the nation litter sculpture competition and engaged youth in designing re-useable trash bags for them to utilize when they are outside.
