ABOUT MATTHEW BROWN
Matt is the Legal Director for Wholesale and Division X at BT. Matt is responsible for leading the legal team that provides support to Wholesale and Division X, primarily focusing on legal advisory and commercial contracts. During Matt’s career at BT, Matt has held several roles including, Commercial Lawyer, Senior Legal Counsel, Chief Counsel and now Legal Director. Matt was also Chief Counsel at BT Fleet Limited, a company managing the UK’s largest vehicle fleet services provider. Originally from Knutsford, Cheshire, Matt graduated from the University of Warwick in 1993. He obtained his Certificate in Legal Practice the following year from the Inns of Court Advocacy, London and then went on to complete his pupillage in 1994. After a few years in tenancy at Lloyds House Chambers, Manchester, Matt made the move into a legal in-house role in 1996. Matt thrives in fast paced, cutting edge, commercially focused environments. Matt is also passionate in leading the diversity agenda and in driving career opportunity and advancement for all.
