About Matthew Berchuck
I have over 30 years experience performing primary and revision surgery on the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. I care for patients with degenerative conditions including herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, scoliosis and kyphosis. I have particular interest in microsurgery, motion preservation alternatives to spinal fusion, and less invasive spine surgery. I have extensive experience treating spine tumors, trauma, and infections.For the last 2 years I\'ve worked as a Medical Director for CVS Health evaluating spine surgery cases for prior authorization. To meet the spiraling costs of an aging population and continuous industry innovation, optimal resource allocation has never been more important.
