ABOUT MATTHEW BEIRNE
Vice President and Senior Regional Director Americas, Fleet Planning and Technical Services Mr. Beirne attended Queens College, Manhattan College and Harvard Business School. He started his career in the United States Navy in 1981 where he served as an Aviation Electrician and Avionics Technician on Carrier based Aircraft. He went on to work Overseas National Airlines in 1985. Mr. Beirne worked for Tower Air as a Quality Assurance Supervisor maintaining a fleet of B747 aircraft. He became Manager of Maintenance for MGM Grand Air at JFK International Airport in New York and was responsible for maintaining a small fleet of B727 aircraft. He later worked for Eastern Airlines where he held the title of Supervisor of Fleet Services. He worked as a Technical Consultant for Citicorp and Scanair managing aircraft maintenance projects and in 1989 he joined United Aviation Services as Technical Manager - Aircraft. Mr. Beirne joined The CIT Group in 1993 as a consultant for the Aerospace Division and later became Equipment Officer. Currently, Mr. Beirne is Vice President responsible for Technical Operations for CIT Aerospace Americas
