As Data Governance Lead, I’m responsible for developing and embedding data governance frameworks that safeguard, optimise, and unlock the value of organisational data. My role bridges governance, compliance, and strategy—ensuring our data is accurate, consistent, secure, and usable across the business.Key focus areas include:Data Governance & Management – Designing and implementing master data and governance processes, ensuring high-quality, trusted data assets.Policy, Compliance & Risk – Driving alignment with information legislation, audit requirements, and national/international standards (ISO, GDPR, etc.), while mitigating data-related risks.Data Visualisation & Insight – Leading the use of data visualisation techniques to turn complex information into compelling, actionable insights for decision-makers.Knowledge & Change Management – Championing knowledge sharing and cultural change, enabling teams to adopt new practices and improve ways of working.Stakeholder Engagement – Building strong cross-functional relationships, acting as the key point of contact with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring governance adds measurable value.Quality & Continuous Improvement – Embedding quality frameworks and driving improvements in data processes, systems, and reporting.This role blends strategy with delivery—supporting the business in maximising the value of its data while ensuring compliance, governance, and trust are at the core of decision-making.
