Lead and oversee risk-based supervision framework used for financial markets supervision of retail supervised entities.Business Planning & Strategy: lead and develop the strategic direction of the business in line with the Board’s direction of growth, client retention, efficiencies & sustainability. Financial Performance: responsible for the development and management of the business unit budget. Operational Management: accountable for existing business, revenue growth and profitability by providing superior supervisory services; strong leadership; people management, and business development. Relationship management: accountable for developing strong relationships with clients and ensuring they are receiving what they require from a licensed financial markets supervisor, including thought leadership and guidance to stay ahead of new and emerging issues. Enhancing these relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Change Management: drive and deliver process change initiatives as required.Work collaboratively with leadership peers & other team members.Board Interaction: regular reporting and presentations to the board.

I was appointed General Manager in May 2018. In that role, I am also a member of the Executive Leadership Team. I have over 25 years’ experience in financial services, including banking, treasury, fund administration and operations, both in New Zealand and in the UK. My key strengths are in regulatory compliance, risk management, business strategy, operations management, leadership and people management. I have a keen interest in financial / investment markets and have extensive experience around Managed Investment Schemes (including KiwiSaver) and a number of other regulated product offerings, including debt, retirement villages, securitisation and non-bank deposit takers.I am a hands-on, proactive, people focused manager that gets results. With a strong client focus, I like to build and develop high performing teams through creating a positive inclusive culture in the workplace that generates \"buy in\" from employees to achieve outstanding outcomes for all stakeholders.
