ABOUT MATTHEW AMATO

Matthew Amato is a Senior Vice President in Capital One’s Commercial Real Estate division which focuses on various debt strategies to meet and exceed the needs of local and national real estate owners, operators, managers, builders and developers. Solution specialties include:• Fannie Mae• Freddie Mac• Balance Sheet • Multifamily• Office• Hotel• Construction• Condominium • Large Real Estate Loan Syndications Before joining Capital One Matthew served as the head of HSBC’s Agency group and was also a member of the Real Estate Syndications team where he was part of over $15 billion of syndicated transactions. Prior to joining HSBC Matthew spent 8 years at Freddie Mac in various roles in the Northeast Region and was responsible for the origination and purchase of over $5 billion of multifamily loans. In addition to having over 17 years of experience in the lending/real estate industry Matthew has continued pursuing his passion for sports and fitness by running the NYC Marathon, becoming a certified personal trainer and kettlebell and golf fitness instructor, earning multiple coaching certifications from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, and coaching for Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls’ Youth Development System. Matthew graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Virginia Wesleyan College earning Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Finance while captaining its nationally ranked, conference champion soccer program. He continued his education at St. John’s University earning a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance.
