ABOUT MATTHEW AGHAI
I am an executive and people leader with two decades of global experience in reforestation, natural resource management, and climate resilience innovation. As Managing Partner at Viridian Ecosystems, I unite technology and commercial opportunities to deliver enduring solutions for partners, clients, and new ventures across diverse ecosystems. I also advise on resource management strategies, poverty alleviation efforts, and biodiversity initiatives, serving as a board member and advisor to executives, technology startups, universities, and nonprofits. Previously, as Chief Science Officer at Mast Reforestation, I led biotech product development, science communication, and large-scale scaling strategies across the reforestation supply chain in Western North America. I\'ve also co-led the acquisition and management of large supply chain businesses and established consumer products ventures. My background spans public, private, and nonprofit sectors, with contributions to applied research, logistics and operations, grassroots project development, and strategic innovation for nature-based solutions for large scale social and economic challenges.
