Unit engineer for all 4 refinery cooling water towers and 3 power boilers representing 60% of refinery direct fired steam production. • Provide technical support for day to day refinery operations and equipment upsets.• Use VBA automation to run and send 10 morning flag reports to 6 unit engineers daily. • Participate in regular and emergency MOC process by writing MOCs, holding hazard reviews and performing PSSRs.• Manage 3 interns performing first internally conducted refinery wide steam leak survey identifying over 800 leaks. • Develop boiler dispatch strategy to optimize boiler load distribution based on efficiency and reliability concerns. • Create spreadsheets to track unit energy usage and identify energy saving opportunities • Nights lead for coker turnaround providing support with chemical clean, vessel inspections, and equipment orientation verification. • FCCG turnaround lead for catalyst load and unload.
