About Matthea Mitchell
I recently graduated from Susquehanna University majoring in Psychology (BS) and minoring in Biology. My passions for mental health and psychology expanded as I took a variety of psychology courses (Psychological Disorders, Psychology of Gender, Theories of Psychotherapy, Social Psychology, and Personality), interned at my practicum site (CMSU), worked with others at Phoenix Physical Therapy, Susquehanna University, and Bucknell University, and communicated with professors, peers, and co-workers in my department and workplace. I began the Master of Social Work Program at Bloomsburg University July 2024, and look forward to expanding my knowledge and understanding of mental health and social justice over the next two years. I hope to become a Licensed Social Worker for those in underrepresented communities, and I am eager to use my skills to create a supportive, accessible, and fulfilling environment for future clients and co-workers, and provide equitable, effective, and accessible services to improve the quality of life for everyone.
