About Matt Grant
I\'ve worked in the youth development field for almost two decades. I\'ve created literacy workshops for 6-12 graders at Harlem Children\'s Zone, directed after-school programs at some of the largest middle schools in Manhattan, and currently oversee four program directors, assisting them in every facet of their jobs. In 2016 I made my first steps towards that goal of becoming a professional writer by launching a freelance business. Since then, I\'ve had work published in Longreads, Narratively, Tor.com, The Brooklyn Rail, and more. I am also a staff writer at Literary Hub and Book Riot, where I write about literacy initiatives and reading for a diverse audience.
