About Matthew Fricke

Matthew brings two decades of tax experience with him to Bay Area technology clients. He has been involved in tax accounting of public companies as well as venture-funded corporations and start-up entities. His business specialties include corporate deferred tax accounting and tax reserve analyses, acquisition accounting and tax attribute analyses, tax internal controls, domestic compliance and consulting. Matthew was a managing director at Alvarez and Marsal for over two years. Prior to Alvarez and Marsal, he was the co-lead partner at Clifton Douglas, a company he helped establish in Bay Area for over a decade. Matthew has prior experience at both PWC and Deloitte. He worked on large multinational companies and newly formed public corporations and was the office lead for Expat/Inpat tax services completing various tours overseas. Matthew was educated at Western State College, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting, with double minors in business and mathematics. Specialties: Corporate deferred tax accounting and reserve analyses, tax internal control implementation under Sarbanes-Oxley, domestic compliance, domestic consulting, and international assignment solutions.
