About Matt Fetting

My time in the games business began in 1996 when my grandmother gave me a tip about a QA job in Hunt Valley, Maryland. The people and the experiences that I had there were a formative and fun gift for a lucky teenager. Gaming IT later became my professional home and has been for the last 20 years. Who would have thought that playing Doom2 on a BBS during the 90s would lead to all this? These days my engineering spurs are well and truly on the shelf. It’s now all about serving our teams and the business on transforming our technology organizations into what’s valuable for the future. It’s a challenging time in technology and in our business especially, but rise to the challenge and adapt we will. Shout out to the small handful of mentors, coaches, and partners that have been the blessing of my life. You know who you are!Fun fact: some BBS tech in the mid 90s simulated IPX over dialup, allowing people to play 4-way Doom2 deathmatch without having to lug your PC to a netparty. Was it laggy? You bet, but it was also frontier and incredible!
