ABOUT MATTEO SASSI

I am an electronic-physicist with a specialization in the development of embedded digital systems. In the latest years I work as Chief Science and Technology Officier by developing an app for Digital Identity (eIDAS compliant) based on AWS cloud. I have experience in the development of embedded systems linux-based and stand alone. In this context, I work on low-level drivers, the bootloader and the applications. I have been involved in the development process of the system starting from the definition of the specifications to the validation procedure. I have considerable experience in the verification of hardware prototypes working closely with hardware developers and FPGA designers. On several occasions, I work on new processors and DSP studying how to configure the basic functionality including DMA, the communication bus, the low-level control pin, and the communication channels for the acquisition of video frame. I have experience in the development of embedded systems based on CMOS sensors, their characterization, the study of algorithms for computer vision, image exposure adjustment, and implementation techniques of wide/high dynamic range (WDR / HDR). During my research activity, I\'ve done a very good experience at INFN by study pulse shape acquisition and digital signal processing applied to CHIMERA (LNS), HPGe, LaBr3 detectors. In this time I\'ve study Real-Time Data Acquisition System. Recently I have done some study about the sensitivity of FPGA devices in safety-critical applications (aerospace and avionics) at INAF. In particular, I\'ve studied the relationship between SEU sensitivity and the placement/routing in a XILINX FPGA device.
