ABOUT MATTEO B.
I have been passionate about flying from a young age. After finishing high school in July 2007, I moved to Australia later that year and began my flight training in June 2008 at Moorabbin Flying Services, where I earned a Diploma in Aviation while working as a waiter to support both my living expenses and part of my training. In 2011, I moved to Indonesia to fly the Cessna Caravan, operating in some of the most challenging conditions for four years — including one year in Papua. In 2016, after converting my license in Greece with Global Aviation, I joined Ryanair as a First Officer on the Boeing 737-800, gaining valuable experience in high-demand European operations. When the Covid pandemic disrupted aviation, I adapted by working at Ducati in Bologna before returning to the skies. In May 2021, I joined VistaJet as a First Officer on the Global 7500, and in May 2025 I was upgraded to Captain on the same aircraft. With over flight hours, my career has taken me from remote airstrips in Papua to intercontinental operations on one of the most advanced business jets in the world — always with a focus on precision, flexibility, and leadership to ensure safe and seamless operations.
