Data definitely tells a story. However, the accuracy of the data is dependent on the infrastructure of how the data is imported, analyzed and reported and the relevance of the data is affected by ensuring you are asking the right questions. That is my specialty, creating data constructs and systems architecture that ensures data accuracy and developing data dashboards that enable leadership to ask the right questions of the data they receive. For the last 9 years I have been supporting data analytics and business intelligence for Discover Financial Services. I have gained knowledge in SQL, Tableau, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Excel, Access, Hadoop, Snowflake and Workday while supporting analytics for human resources, employee performance management, marketing, sales and customer service. I started with Discover in customer service and sales and was promoted to an analytical role within 7 months. However, this background provided me with a solid foundation of communication skills that I can use to assess stakeholder needs, gather requirements, address concerns and explain how managers can leverage their use of data to make strategic decisions. I have been working remote for much of my career and understand how to take initiative and remain a contributing part of a team, even when we are geographically separated.
