As the Associate Director for the Center for Education, Engagement, and Evaluation I help lead programs that connect science with education, community engagement, and field safety. I support our team through strategic planning, staff supervision, communications, and program development, especially around efforts like ADVANCING FieldSafety, which aims to make field research safer and more inclusive. I also contribute to grant writing, reporting, and building partnerships that help expand our reach and impact. It’s exciting to work at the intersection of geoscience, education, and equity, and to support the amazing people and programs that make such a strong and creative team. The is a branch of CIRES, the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences, which is a partnership between the University of Colorado Boulder and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
