MY

Leading the project for CCoE 2.0, the next-generation expansion of Malaysia’s Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. I originated the concept and am driving its implementation: an initiative that includes a SOC simulator classroom, a cyber simulation arcade we are calling the Cyber War Room, and a cybersecurity escape room. Together, these spaces will create a fully immersive learning environment designed to close the gap between classroom theory and real-world security practice.

ABOUT MATT DAWDY

I like building things that help people learn — programs, systems, schools, ideas. Education only matters if it actually works in the real world. When I joined the BlackBerry Cybersecurity Center of Excellence in Malaysia as its first director, there wasn’t much more than an idea and a few determined people. We built everything from scratch — the programs, the labs, the team, and the systems that would carry it forward. It felt more like a startup than a school, and that was exactly what made it work.I believe good education should be clear, practical, and connected to the industries it serves. Titles and credentials matter less than whether students can do the work when they leave your classroom. That’s what we focused on: giving people the tools to build real careers in cybersecurity.I’ve led teams, designed programs, and built partnerships, but what I’m most proud of is seeing graduates step into roles that matter — protecting systems, companies, and communities. If you’re working on projects that combine education, technology, and meaningful outcomes, I’d love to connect.
