As a partner in the Charlotte hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A, I focus my practice on workers’ compensation defense, advising insurers, employers, and third-party administrators on claims strategy, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. With over a decade of litigation experience, I’ve managed high-exposure and catastrophic injury cases from inception through resolution, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and appeals.I’m known for a strategic, cost-effective approach to defense, and have successfully argued cases involving tetraplegia, statute of limitations defenses, and the rebuttal of overcompensation presumptions. I also work closely with clients to develop alternative fee arrangements aligned with their business goals.In addition to my legal work, I’m a recognized leader in legal technology. I’ve led firm-wide digital transitions, served on cybersecurity and innovation committees, and spoken at national conferences like WCI on the intersection of AI, legal tech, and claims management. I’ve also been featured in NC Lawyers Weekly and presented CLEs on improving practice efficiency through technology.I’m an active member of the NC Bar Association, NCADA, WCDI, and DRI. I hold a J.D. from Elon University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from UNC-Chapel Hill.
