ABOUT MATTHEW LOVE
I am the President and CEO of Nicklaus Children’s Health System, South Florida’s only healthcare system exclusively for children, and the parent organization of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, a nationally recognized nonprofit pediatric specialty hospital based in Miami, Florida.In my role, I oversee the 309-bed Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and its network of pediatric outpatient centers in Miami-Dade, Broward, Martin, and Palm Beach counties, along with other health system entities including Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (a nonprofit physician practice subsidiary), an ambulatory surgery center, and Nicklaus Children\'s Hospital Foundation (the organization\'s 501c3 fundraising arm).In 2018, I joined Nicklaus Children’s Health System because I was intrigued by the region’s diversity and challenges in pediatric health. From day one, I knew our health system has an incredible impact on the lives of children in South Florida and beyond. Since then, I’ve made it my primary mission to foster the organization’s status as a national leader in pediatric care.My colleagues and I have created a three-year strategic plan centered on the healthcare needs of our pediatric community. This framework helps us renew the organization’s commitment to always putting patients and families first as our decision-making roadmap, develop collaborations with like-minded adult health systems, and continue the work established by the implementation of an innovative revenue cycle strategy, just to name a few. These strategies put us on track for a sustainable and bright future.Everything I do each and every day is guided by our mission: to inspire hope and promote lifelong health by providing the best care to every child.
