About Matt Weir
I am a sculptor with expertise in working stone, bronze and numerous other materials. My works range in scale from intimate objects to heroically-scaled figurative public art commemorations to monumental earthworks and landscape sculptures. I co-own Falls Art Foundry, a bronze casting sculpture foundry in the historic Portland neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. This foundry is an important legacy art foundry and community sculpture resource which has been producing artworks and training young artisans and artists for nearly 50 years. Its predecessor is known as Bright Foundry and was started by the late Barney Bright.
