ABOUT MATT TORRES
I am a VDC Engineer with over four years of experience in commercial construction management. My career started as an intern in a field engineer role, but I ultimately pursued my passion for Building Information Modeling and began my full-time career as a VDC Coordinator on the $3B New Terminal 1 and Roadways project for SAN. My passion for VDC extends beyond the workplace and has become a facet of my personal life as I have voluntarily coached and taught VDC to university students, created content for personal projects, and advocated VDC as a career path to the next generation of professionals.Outside of my technical role, I support my organization in university recruiting and deliver the company’s vision and core values in guest presentations, info-sessions, and as an industry advisor for one of Cal Poly Pomona’s ASC Competition teams.
