About Matt Swanson

Over the course of my career as a Producer in the games industry I have worked with every size of team, from huge studios to tiny indie teams. Together we shipped award-winning titles on nearly every platform. I specialize in working with highly creative teams and guiding them through the unique requirements of each stage of development, from initial prototypes through pre-production, core development, soft launch, initial release and incremental updates as a service. I believe deeply that the power of teams exists in the individuals that make them up. It is my duty and honor to empower those teams through well-crafted and communicated process, regular feedback and iteration, and data-driven analysis. By doing so we will create magic.

   Managed all aspects of development for multiple projects, including Transformers: Heavy Metal and the content development pipeline for the Neutral Avatar System update for Pokemon GO. Created and communicated long- and short-term development strategies from early prototyping through global release and post-launch support. Led internal strike teams to develop content and features using scrum methodology. Managed detailed product backlog and customized workflow in Jira. Oversaw schedule, communication, deliveries and iteration from external vendors, including artists, sound designers and engineers. Designed and sourced branded merchandise and promotional materials including art book, shirts, stickers and mission patches. Managed workshop with array of tools including 3d printers, laser cutter, spray booth and more. Designed and built prototype hardware technologies for unique player interactions and novel displays. Created bespoke multi-camera streaming solutions and booking system for conference rooms. Supported and evangelized company culture and branding.
