I have recently begun a new role as a Staff Data Scientist with Lyric.ai.Previously, I was with Elevance Health (formerly Anthem Inc.) as a Data Scientist for five years, after a prior two+ year stint as a Business Analyst with Mu Sigma. My focus has been in Program Integrity - Anomaly Detection in Fraud Waste and Abuse Prevention.I have worn many hats, supporting in all areas from data preparation/ingestion to edit/content development to tool creation.I have worked predominantly on edit development tasks in the prepay space. Coordinated collaboration with teams of SMEs and Data Scientists, ran end to end processes (from ideation to go live) for edit activation, handled ad hoc data requests, developed (rule based as well as ML based) models, and much more.Well-versed in claims data and FWA industry knowledge, I’ve become a healthcare data science Swiss Army knife, with a breadth of experience in Python and SQL, as well as Apache Hadoop through Hive, Spark, Snowflake. Experienced in model building, feature engineering, error handling, data manipulation. Expertise in deriving insights from data with a background in BI tool creation (Domo and Tableau). Beyond data, I am practiced in report generation, agile methodology, global team operations, cross-vertical design thinking, and stakeholder communications.I am a big picture thinker, analytical solution designer, and opportunistic team leader. Prior to the workforce, studies of Physics and Statistics helped me become learned in foundational areas such as investigative problem solving, technical writing, and peer collaboration.
