About Matt Stover
Matt is a retired NFL place kicker, two-time Super Bowl Champion and member of the Baltimore Ravens Ring of Honor. Throughout his professional career, he played for the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University and was selected by the New York Giants in the 1990 NFL Draft, and was part of a Super Bowl Champion team his rookie season. He signed with the Cleveland Browns in 1991, and following the Browns move to Baltimore in 1996, he spent the majority of his career as a Baltimore Raven. He became a two-time Super Bowl Champion that year when the Ravens defeated his former team, the Giants, in Super Bowl He retired after the 2009 season as a Baltimore Raven and the NFL’s fourth all-time leading scorer. In 2011, he was inducted into the Ravens Ring of Honor.In 2002, he and his wife formed the Matt Stover Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the Baltimore community and helping those in need through a variety of programs, outreach and support. With his love for football, Matt continues to coach aspiring kickers wherever he goes. As a motivational speaker, Matt travels to encourage and guide corporations and athletic teams on the importance of leadership, team building, and emotional intelligence. He served on the National Board for the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA), the McDonogh School Board and once was part owner of EvoShield and CreditCards.Com. Currently, Matt is the Co-Founder, Chief Strategic Officer, Director & Chairman of the Board at Players Philanthropy Fund (PPF), a 501(c)(3) that provides fiscal sponsorship and nonprofit administration for 360+ charitable foundations worldwide. As a strong advocate of philanthropy, Matt co-founded PPF to ensure that the next chapter of his life off the field continued by helping others promote charitable acts. He strives to support individuals, athletes, public figures, and organizations in becoming commendable philanthropic leaders in their communities.Matt is, also, currently an investor and board member of Kermit PPI, an analytics platform that delivers insight to the fragmented spend category of physician preference items. Kermit equips supply chain managers, surgeons and executives with real-time data on implantable medical device transactions, offering unprecedented visibility that’s saving hospitals millions of dollars. Matt is passionate about helping the healthcare industry and supporting hospitals to help and support all communities.
