I am a transportation engineer with experience providing design, traffic operations, and data analysis support to a variety of public sector and private sector clients. I have extensive experience working with public sector agencies on traffic signal synchronization and implementing signal timing. I have worked on design projects involving roadway modifications, traffic signal design, ITS design, and signing and striping design. I have performed and reviewed a variety of traffic impact analyses, parking demand studies, and other transportation studies. I am particularly passionate about delivering creative projects that enhance bicycle and pedestrian facilities in urban environments.

ABOUT MATT STEWART
I am a transportation engineer at Kimley-Horn focused on helping local agencies solve complex problems. My specialties include design (signing & striping, traffic signals, interconnect, etc.), signal timing, and analysis. I am particularly passionate about helping agencies create livable communities with wonderful places for people to walk, ride, and drive. I am very knowledgeable of local and state guidelines and skilled in software including AutoCAD, Synchro, Vistro, Traffix, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam. I have worked with dozens of agencies throughout Southern California and am always excited to connect to folks around the region to explore how Kimley-Horn can help them achieve their goals. Outside of work, I love to explore our city by trying new restaurants. I love to hike and ski in the San Gabriel and Sierra Nevada mountain ranges and experience unique transit and transportation systems around the world (I have a collection of 80+ LA County TAP cards and more than 20 from other areas around the world!)
