About Matt Stephenson
I am a Project Executive at Balfour Beatty Construction, currently working on a 4 floor law firm upfit and a few bank renovation projects in uptown Charlotte, and a few light ground up projects in the South Carolina. While most recently completing a CM at Risk delivery for the first Slim Chickens, 12 floor renovation for the Bank uptown, 2 new locations for ServisFirst Bank, Tommy’s Car Washes across the state of NC, Take 5 and Pet Suites as well as several floors in the 300 South Tryon building for Barings, a global law firm and K&L Gates, as well as, a ground up Frankie’s Fun Park and a design-build parking deck in South End. My responsibilities include managing project budgets and coordinating GMP development, understanding owner contracts, developing monthly cost & labor projects, acting as the liaison between subs and the owners as well as ensuring my projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe & timely manner. My background consists of a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from NC State University with work in Water/Wastewater, Power (Fossil Fuel) and Data Centers. I am a licensed General Contractor in the state of North Carolina, LEED Green Associate and Engineering Intern (E.I.).
