About Matt Pogodzinski
After finishing residency at Mayo, I went to Japan to become the only otolaryngologist for the Air Force in mainland Japan for over 3 years, covering 3 bases. Since that time I worked within the Resurrection/Presence Medical System for 9 years and continued to see and treat any of the problems within the spectrum of otolaryngology. Right around the holidays in December 2017, we made the choice to move closer to family, and I started working at SSM Health/Dean Clinic in Madison, which was always a dream location for me. I have continually learned from and contributed to the leadership teams at my hospitals and will continue this at SSM-Dean. My professional goals are to continue my life-long goal of being a better otolaryngologist every day; to grow as a physician leader; and to use what I learn to benefit my patients, my medical group, and the medical missions that I serve. My family goals are to be a supportive and loving husband, and to make sure my girls get to grow up with a caring father figure who is present in their daily lives.
