More than 25 years unix experience, ranging from DEC OSF/1,Tru64,HPUX,Ultrix,Redhat,SuSE,Ubuntu and Debian. Using VMware,OpenStack,EC2,Opscode/Chef/Knife, and lots more Goals include reducing environmental impact of IT whilst maintaining a forward position in the market, this is also part of server consolidation project to reduce comms room footprint,etc. Also spending significant portion of my time to moving in-house services to cloud based solutions using the Opscode platform and Chef and knife to provision services in a repeatable fashion.
