ABOUT MATT NEWMAN
Diverse and extensive experience in business development, management and advocacy for sustainability. Mr. Newman’s career has focused on renewable energy, low carbon solutions, hydrogen, innovation, novel technologies, logistics and optimization, electricity generation, natural gas, financial derivatives, business start-ups and turn around projects, manufacturing, waste management and recycling, identifying profit opportunities in the sustainability spectrum, building collaborative teams and relationships locally and at state and federal levels. Mr. Newman has been engaged throughout his career in strategic growth initiatives, implementation and commercialization of new concepts and technologies through a collaborative and consultative management style; identifying and executing opportunities at the intersections of fossil fuel, renewables, carbon capture, hydrogen, manufacturing and novel technologies. An entrepreneur and “intrapreneur,” his career has focused on innovation, business development, business management including turnaround projects, modernization initiatives, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) facilitation, leveraging and improving core assets and mission-critical initiatives. Mr. Newman is skillful in developing relationships through networking and volunteering on local non-profit boards supporting education and community improvement while also serving on the US Department of Commerce’s NIST MEP Advisory Board (NIST MEP, currently chairman of the board, supports manufacturing in all 50 States and Puerto Rico), always focusing on adding value to the mission. A seasoned public speaker and guest lecturer for colleges and universities.
