ABOUT MATT LIDDLE
Matt joined OMERS Infrastructure in Toronto in 2013. In the first half of 2018, Matt transferred to the London office covering the European market and returned to Toronto in the second half of 2020. As Director, his role includes originating and executing on new transactions with primary responsibility for the power and utility sectors. He has played key roles in the successful acquisitions of Chicago Skyway, D+H Collateral Management (Teranet), Puget Sound Energy and Inter Terminals’ UK Dutch and German storage portfolio (CLH). In terms of asset management responsibilities, Matt is a member of the Bruce Power asset team, and is a Board Director on GNL Quintero and on Confederation Bridge. Matt’s previous asset management responsibilities have covered OMERS investments in Caruna, CLH, LifeLabs, NextBridge, Teranet and the Ontario hospital P3 portfolio.Prior to joining OMERS Infrastructure, Matt was a Vice President at Macquarie Capital Markets. In Matt’s eight years with Macquarie, he advised clients on M&A transactions, capital raisings and strategic reviews, with a primary focus on the power and utilities, and infrastructure sectors. Matt also spent time in Macquarie’s diversified, leveraged finance and sponsor coverage teams.Matt has an HBA degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, and a Masters of Finance degree from INSEAD.
