ABOUT MATT KINSINGER

I have 20 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process control, and instrumentation. I have experience designing and programming control schemes and control systems, HMI displays and interfaces, system troubleshooting, as well as project planning, implementation, and management on projects as large as I have a significant level of experience with both process and machine safety. Experience completing both Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Machine Guarding Assessments, designing and installing process improvements, guarding, safety devices, and safety circuits, and working on Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA). Familiar with SIL, CAT, and PL requirements and implementation.I have experience directly and indirectly managing engineers and actively work on the development of engineers and other salaried technical resources. I am directly involved with the technical management, training, and development of maintenance technicians, specifically industrial electricians and instrumentation technicians. I am routinely required to bid, select, hire, and manage contractors for on-site project and maintenance work.I previously spent a few weeks a year as an active participant in a corporate audit team for process control systems focusing on reliability, security, disaster recovery, documentation, and efficiency by visiting other plants across the country and performing a detailed review of their current systems and practices. In addition, I have focused on designing and improving these systems and requirements in my own plant, focusing on automating backup processes and improving plant standards to simplify and improve disaster recovery and support.I have also spent time focusing on lighting design and energy efficiency. I have completed numerous indoor and outdoor lighting upgrades with energy savings resulting in pre-rebate ROIs of 0.5-3 years. I have spent time with steam generation, power generation, CHP/Co-Gen, HVAC efficiency, and other energy efficiency related fields.
