Matt is tasked with both the responsibility and privilege to lead the new transformational establishment and delivery of a new water service entity, incorporating an ‘in house standalone’ Water Services delivery model on behalf of Council in line with Central Government- 3 Waters reform.This role encapsulates the strategic leadership and responsibility for all aspects of 3 waters delivery from Asset Management, Capital Delivery/Design and Operations, leading a talented and experienced team of 40, prudently delivering exceptional water, wastewater and stormwater services to residents of Invercargill City and Bluff. Matt is responsible for 38% of Councils annual budgetary spend within this new Water Services entity and is also accountable for qualitative and safety based outputs across his portfolio.
