   As a Curriculum Writer at Subject, I create engaging, standards-aligned content for asynchronous online courses in English Language Arts. My role blends creativity, instructional design, and subject matter expertise to help students learn more effectively and independently.I take a hands-on approach to building out entire courses, from ideating lesson structure to drafting scripts, designing assessments, and creating supporting materials like rubrics and open-ended assignments. I constantly think about how to make learning stick and how to present information in a way that feels both rigorous and accessible.Much of my process is iterative. I actively use AI tools to streamline writing, brainstorm new angles, and refine course components. Feedback is a key part of this role, and I make it a point to respond quickly and improve materials based on team input.Some of what I focus on includes-Writing and reviewing curriculum content, including scripts, questions, and assessments-Collaborating with teammates and managers to develop scope and sequence for ELA courses-Ensuring accuracy, originality, and high-quality instruction across all course assets-Using AI to enhance writing workflows and edit more efficiently-Meeting deadlines, maintaining open communication, and improving materials based on feedbackI enjoy the challenge of transforming complex standards into creative, student-friendly learning experiences—and doing it all within a collaborative, innovative environment.
