I am a lawyer with more than 25 years of experience representing corporations and individuals in litigation and enforcement matters in court as well as before administrative and regulatory agencies. In enforcement matters, I have particular experience guiding public corporations and their boards through multi-jurisdictional FCPA investigations as well as in investigations and inquiries conducted by the Department of Justice, PCAOB, SEC, US House of Representatives, and US Senate. I have defended clients in a variety of matters in the areas of securities fraud, accounting fraud, environmental crime, FCPA, and international extradition defense, and I provide counseling to a wide variety of domestic and international institutions on BSA/AML, FCPA and OFAC compliance and enforcement. As a litigator, I devote a substantial portion of my practice to the defense of professional negligence claims against lawyers, accountants, and auditors. My past representations include several leading law firms in cases seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in damages, with the underlying malpractice alleged to have occurred in intellectual property, transactional, and litigation areas of practice.
