About Matt Hansen
Matt Hansen has served as Executive Director of the Homecare and Hospice Association of Utah (HHAU) since October 2019 and with the Home Care and Hospice Association of Colorado (HHAC) since 2021. He earned both his Master’s and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from the University of Utah before completing an International MBA. Matt began his clinical career in pediatrics, later expanding his practice to serve clients across their lifespan through a home health staffing company he founded in Washington State. He then served as Director of Rehabilitation and Regional Clinical Manager for two home health and hospice agencies, and later as General Manager of a joint venture home care agency in Utah.Passionate about supporting individuals in their homes and communities, Matt combines his clinical expertise with business leadership to help organizations grow and thrive. He is also an accomplished consultant, writer, and speaker, with recognized expertise in clinical documentation, claims appeals, and a wide range of topics related to home and community-based care.Professional goals are to: 1) Increase public knowledge and access to health & wellness in the United States, inspiring and empowering others to take more responsibility for their own well-being and that of their families; and 2) Improve access to healthcare in developing nations via education, resource development, and coordination of volunteerism and emergency response in innovative ways.Areas of therapeutic expertise include Pediatrics; Autoimmune Diseases; Neurological Conditions; Home Health & Hospice; Therapy in Developing Countries and Emergency Response Situations
